Pretty Lucky (2010)
two-part video with original and found footage colour, 4:3, NTSC, 6'34" Canada, 2010 Suite Suite Chinatown screenings have live music: American folksong “900 miles” and original music by Arthur Yeung, 9’00 Drums that lead the lion dance, remains of trodden produce melting into pavement, blaring C-pop with too much treble: this is a tour of Chinatown as a clutter of neon-lit products and architecture, and the guttural sensuality of tastes and smells combining and recombining on the sidewalks. Pretty Lucky is one of six pieces in the collaborative video project Suite Suite Chinatown,  commissioned for Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival 2010, including pieces by Aram Siu-Wai Collier, Lesley Loksi Chan, Lillian Chan and Howie Shia, Heather Keung, and Joyce Wong, with musical direction by Arthur Yeung.	with video material sourced from Chinese serial "Journey to the West" and a special occasion karaoke DVD
